Project Description:
Project included a new 12 story - 300 unit hotel resort, existing casino expansion and planning for a future hotel. Project requirements included the relocation of existing gas, electric, phone, and CATV distribution systems as well as the extension of new facilities to the complex.
Utility Specialists’ Scope of work:
Utility Specialists was responsible for coordination with the Utility Companies and project team as well as assisting Sycuan with Rule interpretations and negotiating favorable agreements with the Utility Companies. The project included seven 3- phase transformers as well as a connected gas load of 45,000 CFH. In addition, Utility Specialists was responsible for concept designs, cost estimates, conflict checks and value engineering. The project also required an analysis of primary metering vs secondary metering and the short term/ long term cost impacts for each.
